Romain Jerome Moon Dust Watch – made out of the moon (partially)

The Moon Dust is composed of fragments from the moon that the Apollo XI brought back. The dial is made up of ochre mineral containing moon dust and the bezel is composed of Carbon fiber and steel from the Apollo XI itself. The hour and minute indicating hands take inspiration from the solar panels in space-crafts whereas the seconds indicator resembles the landing target. The watch operates on a mechanical self-winding movement. Moreover the Alligator leather strap is partly woven with fibers from an ISS Space Suit The dial is structured in a way to give a moon-like surface texture, filled with craters. The diameter of the watch is 46mm and is a limited edition collection, only 1969 pieces available. Price – USD 15,000.
