Moon OrbiterTourbillon by ROMAIN JEROME – robot included!

Another thought provoking design from Romain Jerome. Very large case but having a small dial. From afar you could mistakenly thought that there are two dials but in fact, the one on the left is the tourbillon. The large crown and the see-through side paneling makes this a very interesting piece. Looks like a robot’s face doesn’t it?

Measuring 49mm in width and 45mm long, the watch has a rectangular shape with bezel lugs that extend. Right at the bottom lies a power reserve indicator with a red tip extending out from the central dial. On the dial are two very prominent counters lying side by side, on the left a 60 second flying tourbillon and on the right a conventional hours and minutes indicator both separated by the X-shape cross-strut.

At the back, the movement is clearly seen through a large sapphire crystal case back with an automatic self-winding rotor. It has spring-loaded pistons in the lugs allow it to lay comfortably against the wrist, more commonly found in bikes.
